Oh what happened to the other video?

So The way i play the undead is, if you magically reanimate the dead if that are not too far decomposed, they will breath, if we are magically reanimating the body, that means the brain is somewhat functional even if it is its most basic instincts like a zombie would be. So yes it breaths but not because it has to breathe but only because of its brain knowing that it is supposed to do that. I agree with everything else but sight, because if it has eyes it has sight. Also depending on how old the zombie is could mean a lot of things. Also take into consideration how the person or thing died. Where they killed by a spell, if so does that spell leave traces of its arcane power on them? If they were rowed do they have a natural or in-natural desire to drown their victims or stay around or in water? There is so much you can do with zombies or the undead that i feel like giving the undead restraints in someways gets rid of the appeal.

I once made a character and for inspiration used a catch phrase from a wrestler from many years ago named Eddie Guerrero who used to live and wrestle by the creed: "Lie, Cheat, and Steal!" I figured this was tailor made for Rogue and how I has envisioned playing them. He was also a coward for the most part. He used to use his Bonus Action to hide at the end of every round of combat and then on his turn the next round take a pot shot (sneak attack) at an enemy before doing the whole thing over again.

Point 4 is something I fell into and it made it confusing. I recently got back into making the system and I stripped it back so much and only put the most basic idea of what things are for.

I've been doing this with Star Trek for years. I call it reskinning the plot. Change tech stuff to magic. A new planet to a new town or wilderness area. Write out an outline of the original plot, underline names and words that need to be changed. List these on a separate page with the correct equivalent in your world. Rewrite, and when you read it back, bang. You have an adventure. It can work surprisingly well with a lot of really old shows. Westerns and whatnot.

I do love this episode of TNG. However, in converting it into a DnD adventure, there seems to be a couple of places the players lose their agency. What happens if the party save the Dragonslayer from assassination? What if the ritual to send back the npc fails?

Encounter at Farpoint, Hide and Q and deja Q. FIRST SESSION First session has the PC's captured and put on trial by a god or godlike being. They are found guilty and given a task to perform successfully in order to redeem themselves. If they succeed they are free to go but if they fail they prove their species are not fit to continue existing and the deity will then eliminate every member of the PCs species from existence. IT'S A TRAP! er trick. It turns out that the mission isn't what it seems and if the PCs are successful they will cause a whole civilization to collapse into chaos. Luckily through reasons the PCs figure this out and find a way to save the day. The deity whisks off into wherever deities go when not dallying with mortals and the first session ends with the deity popping back in for a second to warn that "We are always watching you." SECOND SESSION We begin the session with the PCs mid quest. During this quest they are suddenly faced with overwhelming odds and cannot prevail. Just as all hope seems lost the deity appears and saves the day. The PCs are successful in their mission and the deity admits that this odd little group of simple minded puny mortals have managed to pique their curiosity. It wants to hang out and be buds. At some point the deity will whisk the PC's off to play a "game". During the game one of the PCs discovers they have similar powers to the deity and as they grow accustomed to using these powers the PCs discover that this is not to help them but to prove once and for all that all mortals will succumb to corruption. Since power corrupts, giving one of them power should to the trick. Of course the PCs over come this, the PC rejects the corrupting and cursed powers and the deity is reveled to be a harvester devil. He had struck a bargain with a group of devils to prove he could corrupt a pure soul. On failure he is dragged off to atone for his failure. THIRD SESSION We again pick up with the PCs in mid adventure. As they successfully conclude this adventure a rift opens throwing the city they just saved into peril once again. Out of the portal our old "friend" the harvester devil pops out and collapses in front of our heroes. He is now trapped in human form with no powers and no abilities other than what a normal human can do. He knows of a mighty artifact that can save the city but will only help the PCs get it if they protect him from his former "friends". They were not happy with his recent failure. As per the contract his powers were stripped away. He had an "oh cr***p!" clause hidden in the contract that let him be locked into human form and dropped onto the prime material plane. Adventure ensues, the artifact is obtained and the city is saved. This triggers the "gotcha clause" in the harvester devils contract. His powers are restored, he is reinstated to all his former glory amongst the other devils and he vanishes never to be seen again. Or so it would seem . . .

I KNEW watching every Star Trek episode growing up would come in useful someday!

Nice ideas! A bit of technical criticism (also pertains to your last Star Trek video): the audio level is quite low and it sounds somewhat distorted. I'd suggest you change something about your mic setup.

I normally hate the idea of time travel, and this is no exception. It just makes no sense.

As a Star Trek Adventures GM, i would love to do this, but my players would lambast me for trying to recreate a famous episode from the franchiase they know. Lol.

This sounds similar to the Dragonlance series Legends, where Caramon, Raistlin, Tasslehoff, Crusania go back to just before and after the Cataclysm.

My dragon was a skeletal one (so technically invisible, minus the bones?), and Guy has really helped me get a better understanding of the finer points that are very often overlooked.
